Hiring for Fraud Detection Analyst – Hyderabad

As a Fraud Detection Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing financial transactions and customer account activities to identify and investigate suspicious patterns. The role involves conducting in-depth fraud investigations, performing risk assessments, and collaborating with internal and external teams to prevent fraudulent activities.

Responsibilities:

Fraud Detection & Investigation:

  • Monitor and analyze financial transactions and account activities to detect unusual or suspicious patterns.
  • Conduct in-depth fraud investigations, gathering evidence and documenting findings.
  • Perform 360-degree reviews on fraud alerts triggered due to violations of fraud detection thresholds.
  • Investigate fraud cases, including Account Takeover (ATO), Payment Takeover (PTO), Transfer of Account (TOA), Identity Theft, ATO Scam, First-Party Frauds, and other financial crimes.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Detect and mitigate risks related to core banking, payments fraud, and account opening red flags.
  • Assess and analyze fraud risks associated with ACH kiting, check kiting, wire fraud, and P2P payment fraud.
  • Conduct whistleblower complaint investigations related to account hijacking, transactional frauds, and fund transfer fraud.
  • Work on fraud control measures, implementing strategies to enhance real-time fraud detection and prevention.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Liaise with internal teams, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions for end-to-end fraud alert reviews.
  • Analyze data trends and identify fraud patterns to determine the appropriate course of action (case closure, reimbursement, or escalation).
  • Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and ensure compliance with fraud risk policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1 to 6 years of experience in fraud detection, AML investigations, financial crime analysis, or risk management.
  • Strong understanding of financial crime regulations, fraud detection frameworks, and transaction monitoring tools.
  • Experience in handling fraud cases related to banking, digital payments, and financial services.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data trends, identifying fraud risks, and applying mitigation strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to make real-time fraud decisions.
