Hiring for KYC/AML Analyst – Mumbai
We are currently hiring experienced professionals for a KYC/AML Analyst role with a reputed global financial institution, based in Mumbai. Responsibilities:

Conduct end-to-end Know Your Customer (KYC) processes for new and existing clients, including onboarding, periodic reviews, and remediation in accordance with internal standards and global regulatory expectations.

Perform comprehensive Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk entities, including corporations, financial institutions, and other complex structures.

Conduct AML and sanctions screening using industry-standard tools to detect potential matches and escalate where necessary.

Investigate and resolve hits from adverse media, PEP screening, and watchlists (OFAC, UN, EU, etc.) in accordance with established protocols.

Work closely with internal stakeholders including compliance, operations, legal, and front office to ensure timely resolution of KYC-related issues and documentation gaps.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AML regulations and compliance practices across major jurisdictions, including US, UK, EU, and APAC.

Prepare and maintain thorough, well-documented KYC files and ensure data quality in line with audit and regulatory requirements.

Support the development and maintenance of internal KYC/AML policies, procedures, and risk-based controls.

Assist in internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and respond to queries from global regulators.

Identify process inefficiencies or control gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen the KYC framework.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related discipline.

3–6 years of hands-on experience in AML, sanctions screening, due diligence, and KYC within a banking or financial services environment.

Demonstrated experience in dealing with global regulatory frameworks (e.g., FATF, FinCEN, FCA, MAS, RBI).

Proficient in the use of AML/KYC systems and screening tools such as World-Check, LexisNexis, RDC, or similar platforms.

Strong understanding of corporate structures, ownership hierarchies, UBO identification, and jurisdictional risk assessment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise confidently across global teams.

Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Certification in AML/Compliance (e.g., CAMS, ICA, or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.
