The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the bank’s adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, particularly in the areas of KYC, AML, and CFT. The role involves overseeing due diligence efforts, monitoring transactions, and managing reporting requirements to local regulatory authorities.

 Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, CFT, and regulatory obligations in line with UAE Central Bank and other regulatory authorities.

  • Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for both new and existing individual and corporate clients.

  • Address issues related to onboarding of new customers, ensuring all required documentation and risk assessments are completed.

  • Monitor daily transactions and identify potential suspicious or fraudulent activity.

  • Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR) in accordance with regulatory timelines.

  • Stay up to date with regulatory developments and industry best practices and update internal procedures accordingly.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies to facilitate audits, reviews, and reporting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field.

  • Professional certification such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or similar is preferred.

  • In-depth understanding of the UAE regulatory framework, especially Central Bank of UAE (CBUAE) regulations and compliance requirements.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in compliance roles within the UAE banking sector.

  • Strong familiarity with local and international compliance procedures and standards.

Why Join:

  • Opportunity to work with a reputed banking institution in the UAE.

  • Competitive compensation package with growth and learning opportunities.

  • Exposure to high-level compliance frameworks and regulatory operations in the region.
