Hiring for AML/KYC Leading Bank in – UAE
We are hiring for our client, a leading bank in the UAE, for the role of Manager, Due Diligence. If you have strong expertise in KYC, AML, and business risk governance, this could be an excellent opportunity to advance your career in the banking sector.
Role Purpose:
As a Manager, Due Diligence, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of the bank’s customer onboarding process, conducting in-depth risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to KYC, AML regulations, and other relevant financial crime prevention practices.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-risk customers and transactions.
- Monitor KYC processes to ensure compliance with the bank’s internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure thorough investigation of customer information, transaction history, and background to assess potential risks.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest FATCA, CRS regulations, and global regulatory requirements related to anti-money laundering (AML) and financial crime prevention.
- Develop and implement due diligence policies and procedures to improve the bank’s compliance efforts.
- Provide guidance and leadership to junior compliance staff in performing risk assessments and identifying suspicious activities.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Risk Management, Audit, and Legal, to implement an effective compliance framework.
- Ensure audit readiness by maintaining comprehensive and accurate records of due diligence processes and findings.
- Develop and deliver training sessions to internal staff regarding KYC/AML compliance and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in KYC, AML, or a related compliance role, preferably within the banking sector.
- Strong understanding of retail banking and associated compliance regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of KYC, transaction monitoring, and financial crime risk mitigation strategies.
- Expert understanding of FATCA and CRS regulations and their application to client onboarding.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, assess, and mitigate risks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with senior management, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and adherence to compliance standards.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
