Hiring for  Compliance Officer – Dubai

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team in Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), Sanctions Compliance, and Regulatory Risk Management. Location: Dubai
Experience Required: 3-5 years in banking compliance (Minimum 1-2 years in AML/Transaction Monitoring)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Certifications: CAMS, ICA, or equivalent compliance certification preferred

 Responsibilities

  • AML & KYC Compliance: Ensure adherence to AML and KYC regulations by conducting thorough due diligence on customers, monitoring transactions, and identifying suspicious activities.
  • Transaction Monitoring & Investigation: Review transactions, detect potential money laundering risks, and escalate high-risk cases for further investigation.
  • Sanctions & Name Screening: Conduct name screening against global sanctions lists (OFAC, EU, UN, etc.), PEP screening, and adverse media checks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with local and international AML regulations (UAE Central Bank, FATF, DFSA, ADGM) and ensure compliance with changing laws.
  • Policy Development: Assist in drafting, implementing, and updating compliance policies and procedures to align with global best practices.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct compliance risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize regulatory risks.
  • Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver compliance training programs for internal teams to ensure awareness of AML/CFT obligations.
  • Reporting & MIS Management: Prepare compliance reports, regulatory filings, and audit responses for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with regulators, auditors, and internal teams to strengthen compliance frameworks.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Strong understanding of AML, CFT, Sanctions, KYC, and Regulatory Compliance within the financial services industry.
  • Experience in banking operations, compliance monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of financial data and detect patterns of suspicious activity.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and regulatory correspondence.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage compliance projects efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and compliance software/tools.
  • Experience in working with international regulatory frameworks such as FATF, FinCEN, and Wolfsberg principles is a plus.
