Hiring for  Fraud Analyst  – Bangalore

We are seeking a Fraud Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in detecting, investigating, and mitigating financial fraud. In this role, you will analyze financial transactions, conduct thorough fraud investigations, and collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve complex fraud cases. You will also be responsible for implementing fraud detection strategies to safeguard against various financial crimes.

 Responsibilities:

• Fraud Detection & Investigation: Analyze financial transactions and account activity to identify unusual patterns and suspicious activities that could indicate fraud.

• In-Depth Fraud Reviews: Conduct comprehensive 360-degree reviews of alerts triggered by violations of fraud thresholds, covering various fraud types (e.g., ATO, PTO, TOA, ID Theft, ATO Scam, First Party Frauds, etc.).

• Fraud Type Analysis: Perform in-depth investigations into specific fraud cases, including ATOs, P2P Payments, ACH kiting, check kiting, wire fraud, and more.

• Customer Profile Review: Review customer profiles for potential fraud indicators in core banking, payments, and account opening. Detect and mitigate red flags related to fraud.

• Whistleblower Complaints: Investigate and provide real-time decisions on complaints regarding account hijacking, transactional frauds, fund transfer returns, checks (RDC, Thea), or ACH transactions.

• Collaboration & Liaison: Work closely with internal teams and external counterparts to conduct end-to-end alert reviews, from fraud alert generation through to filing SARs (Suspicious Activity Reports).

• Data Analysis: Analyze trends in fraudulent activities and out-of-pattern data to determine appropriate actions (e.g., case closure, reimbursements, escalation).

• Fraud Mitigation: Adjudicate fraud types and apply relevant mitigation steps in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in SAR (Suspicious Activity Report) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) investigations.

• Strong knowledge of financial crime detection and fraud mitigation processes.

• Experience with core banking systems, payments fraud, ACH kiting, check kiting, and wire fraud investigations.

• Excellent analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to assess complex financial data and trends.

• Proficient in identifying fraud patterns and implementing fraud control strategies.

• Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and adherence to policies and procedures.
