Hiring for Risk and Fraud Officer – Abu Dhabi

Description

Al Jaber Exchange is looking for a Risk and Fraud Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial fraud risks while ensuring compliance with Central Bank of UAE regulations and global financial crime frameworks.

Responsibilities

Fraud Detection & Risk Management

  • Monitor transactions and customer activities to detect and prevent fraudulent activities.
  • Conduct investigations into suspicious transactions and escalate findings as needed.
  • Analyze financial data to identify fraud trends and potential risks.
  • Implement and maintain risk management policies and fraud prevention procedures.

Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and fraud prevention regulations.
  • Prepare and present risk assessment reports to senior management.
  • Work with internal teams and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to compliance policies.

Training & Industry Awareness

  • Assist in developing and delivering fraud prevention training programs for employees.
  • Stay updated on emerging fraud techniques and risk management best practices.

Qualifications & Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in risk management, fraud detection, or financial crime compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of AML regulations, financial crime frameworks, and Central Bank of UAE guidelines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using fraud detection tools.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as RMP, CRMA, FRM, IRM, CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner).
  • Experience in the exchange or remittance industry is a plus.
