Hiring for SAR Compliance Officer – Dubai
AIQU is hiring a SAR Compliance Officer for a leading financial institution in Dubai. This role requires expertise in AML compliance, financial crime risk management, and regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, regulatory knowledge, and experience handling Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs).
Responsibilities
Suspicious Activity Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor financial transactions to detect and investigate suspicious activities.
- Prepare and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to regulatory authorities.
- Ensure timely completion of compliance reports in accordance with UAE regulations.
- Work with goAML and other compliance platforms for transaction reporting.
KYC, Sanctions & Risk Analysis
- Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) checks.
- Perform sanctions and name screening to identify high-risk individuals or entities.
- Analyze financial data to identify potential AML and financial crime risks.
- Maintain and update compliance procedures to align with CBUAE and FATF guidelines.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure compliance with UAE Central Bank (CBUAE) AML regulations, FATF, and international AML standards.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of AML policies, procedures, and risk assessment frameworks.
- Provide internal compliance training and awareness programs on AML best practices.
- Collaborate with internal risk, compliance, and audit teams to strengthen financial crime prevention.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in AML compliance within a bank or exchange house in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of goAML, UAE Central Bank regulations, FATF guidelines, and financial crime compliance.
- Expertise in transaction monitoring, SAR/STR filing, and regulatory reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field.
- Globally recognized AML certification (e.g., ACAMS, ICA, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills with the ability to liaise with regulatory authorities.
