Job Description

KPMG Hiring for AML KYC analyst – Bangalore / Gurugram

  • End-to-End KYC Process Management:
    Oversee the complete KYC lifecycle, from client onboarding to ongoing monitoring and review. Conduct thorough Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Global KYC Compliance:
    Manage the KYC process in accordance with global AML/KYC regulations, specifically handling US and UK clients. Ensure all KYC documentation, including identity verification, business profile, and risk assessments, are complete and up to date.

  • Team Handling and Leadership:
    Lead a team of analysts to ensure efficient and accurate processing of KYC requests. Provide guidance and training to junior team members and help maintain a high level of performance.

  • Risk Assessment and Classification:
    Assess and categorize the risk of new and existing clients based on KYC procedures. Perform PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) checks, sanctions screening, and adverse media checks to identify potential financial crimes.

  • Regulatory Reporting and Documentation:
    Ensure proper documentation of KYC and AML processes, maintaining up-to-date records as per company and regulatory standards. Report any suspicious activities or non-compliance to management as per guidelines.

  • Periodic Reviews and Audits:
    Conduct periodic reviews of customer files, ensuring continued compliance with evolving AML/KYC regulations. Identify and mitigate risks by reviewing account activity and updating risk assessments.

  • Client Interaction:
    Interact with clients to obtain necessary KYC documentation, addressing queries, and ensuring that client onboarding and due diligence are completed within the specified timelines.

  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
    Work closely with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and business departments, to resolve complex cases and ensure smooth execution of the KYC process.

Skills & Requirements:

  • AML/KYC Expertise:
    Strong knowledge of global AML/KYC regulations, including CDD and EDD processes, and experience working with US/UK clients.

  • Team Management:
    Proven experience in team handling and leadership, with at least 1 year of experience in managing performance and leading appraisals.

  • Communication Skills:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage internal and external communications.

  • Experience:
    4 to 7 years of experience in the AML/KYC domain, with a strong background in global regulatory standards, risk management, and compliance processes.

  • Education & Certifications:
    A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) would be an advantage.
