Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze financial transactions to identify potential suspicious or unusual activity

• Investigate alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems in accordance with internal policies

• Document and escalate findings appropriately, maintaining clear audit trails

• Prepare and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) or Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), as required

• Collaborate with internal teams such as AML, compliance, legal, and operations

• Suggest enhancements to transaction monitoring processes and systems

• Adhere to regulatory guidelines (RBI, SEBI, FATF, etc.) and internal compliance standards

• For senior roles: manage junior analysts, oversee workflows, and ensure timely completion of reviews

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Strong knowledge of AML regulations and financial crime frameworks

• Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring tools like Actimize, Mantas, SAS, or similar platforms

• Solid analytical and investigative skills with an eye for detail

• Ability to interpret complex transactional patterns and customer behavior

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

• CAMS, CFE, or ICA certification preferred but not mandatory

• Prior experience in a similar role within banking, fintech, or consulting domains is highly desirable
